UG Lateral Entry Course Eligibility

Candidates satisfying the following qualifying examination are eligible to Second Year Lateral Entry B.E/B.Tech., Degree Courses.

Diploma Candidates:

A pass with prescribed minimum eligibility marks in any one of the Diploma in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu / equivalent prescribed for admission the Degree Course.

B.Sc., Candidates:

A pass with prescribed minimum eligibility marks in any recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Science of minimum 3 years duration with 10+2+3 year’s pattern and studied core Mathematics as one of the subjects at degree level

Both Diploma and B.Sc., qualified candidates have to obtain the following minimum eligibility marks for admission to Lateral Entry as prescribed in G.O. Ms. No.81, Higher Education (J2) Department, dated 30.07.2020 and as per directions issued in Government Letter No.12226/J2/2020, Higher Education Department, dated.28.05.2020.

Important Note

 

All the applicants are informed that the original certificates produced at the time of admission will be retained in the Institution and will not be returned under any circumstances whatsoever until DoTE Document Verification.

The applicants are advised to take sufficient photocopies of all the certificates (ie) Allotment Order, Diploma Mark Sheets, Diploma Provisional / Degree Certificates, Community Certificate, Testimonial from the Head of the Institution last Studied etc., before submitting them to the Institution.

Passport size Photographs (color with white background) should have been taken within a period of three months, prior to the submission.

After proper scrutiny of his/her certificates, if it is found that any details furnished by him/her in the application form are not correct, then

  • He / She will be forfeit the admission no matter at what stage of the course he/she is at that time.
  • He / She will be debarred from pursuing the studies for a period of three years.
  • Legal action will be instituted against him/her for furnishing wrong details.
