About the Institution
Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology (SKCET), Coimbatore was established in the year 1998 for providing quality technical education to the young minds of the state. It is run by Sri Krishna Institutions along with five other educational institutions and it is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and approved by AICTE. The college was granted Autonomous status in the year 2011 due to its significant growth in short span of time. The Institution has been accredited by NAAC with Grade ‘A++’ (3.71 CGPA) and the UG Courses in Engineering, viz, Civil, Mechanical, ECE, EEE, MCT, CSE and IT have been accredited by NBA. The college has now grown in size and stature with 6600 students pursuing UG and PG programmes. Students can be admitted under the Person of Indian Origin (PIO) quota. The college has rendered its fruitful service to the society in a spectacular way and it is ranked 83rd by the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF). In all, the college offers 11 Undergraduate Programmes, 1 Integrated M.Tech Programme, 2 Postgraduate Programmes in Engineering and Management and 8 Research Programmes. The Institute is recognized as a research centre for offering Ph.D Programmes.
About the Department
Mechanical Engineering (MECH) is a core discipline that applies the principles of physics and materials science for design, analysis, manufacturing and maintenance of mechanical systems. The department was established in the year 1998 and it offers one U.G. Degree Programme – B.E. Mechanical Engineering and one P.G. Degree Programme M.E. Engineering Design. In addition, the department is a recognised research centre by Anna University for offering PhD program.
More than 30 candidates have completed PhD in the research centre and 31 more are pursuing their research. Well trained and qualified faculty members drawn from leading Industries and academic Institutions form the backbone of the department. The department has received research and development funds to a tune of Rs.580 lakhs from various Government and Private funding agencies like AICTE, DST, UGC and leading Industries.
The Focus
The present-day Industries are striving to bring up innovative and high quality products to the market, faster and cheaper. Advanced Functional Materials and Manufacturing methods are best options for enhancing the Material performance and improving the life of the product. This International Conference provides a platform for the active interaction of Industrialists, practicing Engineers, and Academicians to discuss the core activities, yielding researches and advances in Materials and Manufacturing of various Mechanical Systems. The awareness of the advanced methods will certainly help the society in various aspects of Engineering and Technology.

Original papers are invited for presentation. The authors are requested to submit an abstract not exceeding one page. It should carry the name and address of the author(s) with their affiliation (including phone number and e-mail). The abstract may also be sent through e-mail (afmme2025@skcet.ac.in). The authors should submit the paper and plagiarism report before registration.
Size – A4, Single Column, maximum 8 pages, Font – Times New Roman, Size – 12.
The papers will undergo double blind review by the subject experts. After incorporating the comments and suggestions provided by the reviewers, the selected plagiarism free papers will be published in conference proceedings which are indexed in SCOPUS and Web of Science. Additional publication fees is applicable depending on the proceedings.
Mode of Presentation
The authors shall present the papers either in online mode / direct physical mode.
